My Cause

In 2006 my Dad passed away from esophageal cancer.  The disease gave nearly no symptoms until it was too late.  On-road bike riding is my hobby and passion, so it was a natural fit when 3 years ago the cancer center at The Ohio State University, The James, joined with a group to create the Pelotonia.  This is an annual bicycle ride of various lengths up to 180 miles, and all the donations go directly to The James.  This year I again rode 100 miles from The Ohio State University to Ohio University in Athens Ohio.  It was a really warm day and it took quite a toll on the group but I was done in a bit over 7 hours and glad to be out of the saddle.

The ride is over, and the donations are closed out but training season starts in the spring, so go to Pelotonia.org for Ohio and support me.  There's always time to kick cancer in the butt.
